Well, let me say I do agree with some things you say. Arriving late is a cardinal sin. I don't like cigarette smells in vehicles, as I don't smoke. I treat my leather with a conditioner that smells like lemons (kinda) that keeps the interior in tip top shape. When you rent my limo, you can request amenities, but even if you don't say a word my ice wells are topped off and stocked with Bottle Pepsi, Diet, Dew, and water. And it is clean. I have 16 champagne glasses I rotate out and run through the dishwasher. I have a cooler in the trunk that has extra ice and drinks. And I have a cordless vac that I clean out the car with while you're gone. My car isn't big or bad, but its my car. So I do agree with you on some things.

Hopefully I can speak on behalf of others when I say we're only hoping you realize that when you pay for silver, you're not going to get gold. Its hard to be critical of another business when you aren't up and running and they're taking your charter money to the bank. I think you have a valid complaint with certain items, but then again, nothing is going to be perfect at 110 dollars per hour. Even in my worldwide redneck headquarters 110 dollars for a 200 inch SUV would be cheap. But I'm new in the business, what do I know?

Keep up the good work on the vlogs, they're very entertaining. I usually check in daily for updates!

Wow Markee, I just read the comments from late last night from What a Joke. If this guy was real, had his own bus. and was worth anything, you'd think he could spell correctly and wouldn't rant about this...very immature for someone so sucessful. Congrats on the "big stink" I thought it was in line. Nothing wrong with a Critic nor an opinon, DAMN!

I am the owner of the limo company.... I call him to straighten things out and apparently Markee has the right to his opinion BUT he does not have the right to slander... All of my limos are non smoking.. he did not mention this on the first blog because it is not true.. Yes there is a small burn (that is not even all the way through) in the interior but as everyone in the industry knows and he will soon know that even though you say no smoking they will still attempt it and my drivers will enforce this rule. A small burn did happen at some time but I am not going to replace a whole interior for a melt spot that is irritating the only person that has ever commented about it. This whole thing is kind of irritating anduneducated.. my tires are load rated... An Excursion is longer than a H1 Hummer as a base unit..(I even offered him on the phone to come and measure it in regards to his comment to how I described the lenght) but he still does not remove the video that discredits me. The bloggs get worse everytime to justify himself after everyone responded... I think this was an intentional attack (and is still attacking me) andhe just up the anti when everyone comments on his original blog...There was no smoke smell, staws, garbage Ect. If this is how he wants to start that is fine..I have been in buisness for many years and work with largest companies in town, I have seen these people come and go, He does not want to correct and poor judgement and remove these slanderoug blogs, he has that right but there will be no "cooperation" as he called it. This was an attack and as I topld him on the phone.. I was on vacation with my family (spring break) when this run took place so I have his story and now my employees story. I as a current limo buisness would have tried to work this out with a phone call, Email of something before I took it to this sladerous level. That is how a Good buisness owner would try to handle thing first before they took this kind of action. Not even giving me a call or a right to investigate the situation before you put this on the next day was very UNFAIR and UNPROFESSIONAL, That is why I call this a personal attack on my company

Everyone just grow up

P.S limo burn hole can be fixed by interior restoration try your local car dealer no need to replace interior. If you have been in the limo business for so long you should've known that.

Signature, thanks for the comments. What you listed out for your cars is what I expected. I am learning though that there are different ways of providing these services. yours is everything I would have expected plus some extras. I did not have my expectations set correctly for this limo we have been talking about.

For Silver and Gold levels. I personally always take the premo packages. I don't think I have ever had my staff order a limo for me before. So I need to do a better job communicating my expectations to my staff if I have them order service for me. I still expect a clean car no matter what though. Even if it was a Taxi.

Also, Yes I'm learning the industry. So I have made mistakes and I know I'll make more. I also will always tell exactly what's on my mind. I don't have the need to be liked. But I do firmly believe in always giving my honest opinion in a very blunt way. It's just my style.

Limoman, Thanks for your post. I have no problem with you giving your side. As I mentioned to you on the phone. I did not mention your company because my video and posts are not about hurting anyone. This blog and the videos are about my experiences during my first year of operations as an owner of a limo company. My apologies for offending you. this was not designed with that intention.

As for slander. I think there needs to be a target that is identified in order for it to qualify as slander. I am a law abiding person. I don't think I have done anything slanderous. But if I have you can feel free to reference the specific offence under the law and I will correct it.

I certainly don't want to be at war with you. As an entertainment site like this one. Wars make for great entertainment. Controversy sells. I know my opinions can be harsh or even screwed up to some people. But that's ok. This is entertainment. Much like Howard Stern. People listen to him so that they can be offended, I don't go that far. But it's an example of entertainment and opinion.

I would be happy to talk with you more if you want to. But please don't call my home again. My office number is available to you. 503.922.2713.

1. I agree with Presold on whatajoke.
2. It's not slander.
3. I was in the limo and it was dirty. I am sorry but there is nothing wrong with honesty.

Limoman: I understand that this is probably frustrating for you, but I know Marcus and do not think he is attacking you or your business. Look at this from the angle of someone that is about to start doing what you are doing and is trying to find any error they can possibly find for the purpose of learning. He is effectively learning from other people's mistakes. In all the years that I have known him, I cannot remember him ever attacking anyone, even when they deserved it. Recently, I know of two companies that have slighted him, and he did not attack them, even though he very well could have. He has removed quotes that could have been used to identify your company, in an attempt to avoid hurting your business. He even made a post stating that he would remove other identifying information if someone pointed it out. Marcus may like a little bit of commotion now and then (the "no publicity is bad publicity" view), but he definitely doesn't like to insult or attack people. He may sound critical, but he is a critical person, about his own things even more than others'; you should see the problems he notices in his H1 all the time. Being critical does not mean he is attacking you, though. He is merely pointing out what he thinks is wrong; he is not passing judgment on you.

On the issue of his story v. your employee's story: I hate to call your employee a liar, but I have to say that is likely the case if you believe Marcus's comments are untrue. Marcus is an exceedingly honest and straightforward individual. You have said that you were out of town on this day, so there is no way to know if there was any trash in the vehicle, other than the word of your employee. As a cynic, I have to point out that Marcus has nothing invested in whether there was trash in the car, while your employee has a good deal invested in it. With the employer out of town and a problem arising with the cleanliness of the car, a vast majority of employees would claim the customer was lying, no matter what the truth was. Considering I know how honest Marcus is, I think the employee is just covering his or her tail. I'm not saying you should fire them, but take what they say with a grain of salt; make sure these issues never happen in the future, even if they didn't happen this time.

That's the approach I recommend for this entire ordeal. Marcus is not trying to attack you, nor is he an average customer. He is about to start doing what you do and is actively looking for mistakes so he won't make the same ones. Look at what he notices and try to correct those mistakes. An average customer might not consciously spot these mistakes, but it could have a subconscious impact on them. Even if you think the issues are minor, you know now that at least one person has noticed the issues, which means others have and have not felt it worth mentioning. Do a cost-benefit analysis and see if it's worth fixing the mistakes, knowing that the mistakes will be noticed by some. I have to think that something like the trim around a light is a cheap enough fix to be worth fixing. Instruct your driver(s) on what to do and what not to do based on these and other comments. Just look at this as a learning experience.

In conclusion, I must reiterate that this is not an attack on you, to the best of my well-informed knowledge. A vast majority of the readers of this blog are limo business operators or friends of Marcus. I seriously doubt any customer is going to read these entries AND know who Marcus is talking about. So, step back, realize this is not an attack, and make the best out of it that you can.

This will be my last post on this childish attack on my company.. I tend to believe my driver when they said the car was clean not someone who puts out uneducated statements like the length of my limo or "load rated" tires (which they are). No comment was made about smoke smell or some of the other negative remarks on the first blog... maybe the smoke you were smelling was from your employee that is smoking in the blog in front of Claim Jumpers...I do not know how this could not be viewed as an attack or slanderous except you would not understand because you are not on the receiving end... My driver states she was not late...Division St has ZERO parking on this 2 lane St so she had to loop around, I accept your opinion though you should have at least given a company time to investigate before attacking them...I know Markee also he attends our church and private school he is also personal friends with my brother Mike who I am currently in disagreement with over his Strip club that I was a co-signer for and had to repossess due to his default on the loan and the lease... I feel this is an attack on my character and business for more reasons than just limos. I hope everyone has enjoyed this soap opera at my companies expense.. as for Markee we will all see where you are in a year from now.. it is too bad that you are a man of character who hides behind a computer when you could have talked to me..as for me I am a face to face man of character looking forward to seeing you soon

Gooood LORD this is a childish bunch of CRAP. I don't know what to say except Marcus you pissed some people off. I think I'd learn to keep my mouth shut in your town. At least for awhile.

Limoman..I think he was being Critical and trying to learn. In his defense He's new to the whole deal. Everyone deserves a mulligan.

Sorry I'm late in the game I only get on here late at night and the whole incident I guess really isn't my business.

I'd say the best thing is to let it ride and let's go back to the actual reason why we're here, to blog (or Vlog) our experiences with our first year, or years, with the Limousine industry. I've found out quickly there are highs and lows in this business, but that's with all aspects of life, and we have to live with it either way.

Marcus, keep up the good work with the Vlogs on your business. And that's what I come here daily to check up on, is YOUR business. I'd say that's the best angle for you to stay with. That's my final thought on the matter.

When watching the original post I would have chalked the experience up to a bad driver, bad circumstances, or just plain bad luck. I would have given that company the benefit of the doubt and tried them again.

But, after reading the owners comments about the service, I'm now 100% convinced it WAS bad service in the first place. While I don't know which company it really is, when I need a limo I'm now going to be on guard for this service and will actively do what I can to avoid it.

In fact - I bet this is the same service where we hired the best limo. Got picked up in it, had a decent ride to the destination. When we got back, the limo was traded for a MUCH smaller one from the 80's, with no $$$ discount or compensation for what was obviously a big downgrade. The only explanation was that the party of 14 needed the bigger limo instead of our party of 4.
